Cafe Beignet, a New Orleans cafe known for its iconic beignets and French Quarter charm, sought to enhance its brand presence through organic and paid social media engagement.

The goal was to capture the vibrant atmosphere, highlighting both the delicious offerings and the authentic New Orleans experience. By focusing on visually appealing short-form videos and storytelling through social media platforms, Cafe Beignet aimed to strengthen its connection with both tourists and locals, fostering increased brand loyalty and traffic to its locations in the French Quarter.

Cafe Beignet approached Online Optimism in August 2023, aiming to enhance their social media engagement, particularly through short-form videos like Instagram Reels, and grow their online following. They wanted a creative strategy to increase brand awareness and engage with their audience through visually compelling content that showcased their beignets, French Quarter ambiance, and local charm.

Online Optimism’s social media team developed a comprehensive plan focusing on boosting engagement, creating shareable videos, and promoting Cafe Beignet’s unique offerings to both locals and tourists.

Solution

To best achieve Cafe Beignet’s goals, the Online Optimism team implemented a strategy featuring five organic posts per week on Instagram and Facebook, with a strong emphasis on dynamic short-form video content such as Reels. These videos were crafted to capture the viewer’s attention and showcased enticing menu items—especially their signature beignets—while leveraging popular trends to highlight both the cafe and New Orleans’ vibrant culture. In addition to featuring beautifully plated dishes, we provided a glimpse behind the scenes, highlighting the kitchen’s bustling environment, and customer interviews to share their thoughts and experiences, adding a more personal touch. We also incorporated user-generated content from visitors and locals to further showcase authenticity.

We worked closely with Cafe Beignet to feature seasonal promotions and activations, scheduling bi-monthly photo shoots to keep visuals fresh, high-quality, and aligned with their brand identity.

Results

Utilizing short-form videos in both organic posts and targeted ads, we significantly boosted engagements and follower counts across platforms.
