New Orleans Business Development Specialist
This is a 25—40 hour / week Specialist position for Summer 2026. We’re seeking a Business Development Specialist to work directly under our VP of Revenue and support our Revenue team. This role offers hands-on experience in client discovery and research, and the full client lifecycle—from initial prospect research through onboarding. The right fit has a base knowledge in digital marketing and is interested in learning how digital marketing agencies operate behind the scenes. To apply for this position, you must work in the greater New Orleans region.

Job Responsibilities
Depending on your strengths, you may develop skills in:
- Taking detailed notes in meeting with potential and current clients.
- Conducting research audits on potential clients and their industries.
- Assisting in new client onboarding processes and documentation.
- Supporting the Revenue team with client communication and project coordination.
- Collaborating with our VP of People in coordinating internal projects.

- Strong candidates will be contacted via email for an initial interview.
- You do an initial phone interview with Meara (VP of People).
- We’ll review all of the interview notes and move the top 2–3 candidates forward.
- Those candidates will meet with Jordan (VP of Revenue) for a recorded final 15–45 minute interview. Afterwards, you will complete a 2-hour assignment for fake clients, after which you will get a $35 gift card for your time spent on it.
- We make the top applicant an offer, and provide you with 2–3 days to make a decision. You (hopefully) accept and become an Optimist for the season!
