Online Optimism is Looking For Our First Intern!
We’re now a little over six months into Online Optimism’s existence, and our growth can only mean one thing – we’re ready for an intern! If you’re fast-thinking, smart, easily adaptable, and ready to work hard in a very fast-growing industry in an amazing city, then you just might have what it takes.
Details are below. Best of luck!
Time Commitment
The internship will be roughly 2-3 months, from the end of May, to the beginning of August. You will be working 3 days a week (8 hours a day.)
Compensation
$10 per hour
Job Duties
As our first intern, you’re going to be asked to do a lot. Your requirements will cover the vast majority of tasks that are handled at a digital agency. If you know how to do them all, you’re amazing. If not, don’t worry – we’ll provide training. The right applicant just needs to be ready to learn.
Prefer list form? Here’s a bit of what you’ll most likely cover during the months working in our office:
- Assisting with Client Management
- Content Creation
- Social Media Monitoring & Management
- Blogging. For clients, and for this very blog (meta!)
- Handling website analyses
- Relationship building with bloggers and other influential users on social media
- Joining in brainstorming meetings for link-building strategies
- PPC campaign management and strategy
- Tracking, reporting, and optimization of a comprehensive digital marketing campaign
Requirements
The only real requirement we have is that you have a drive to succeed, and a commitment to helping our clients improve their business. That being said, a couple things are likely to make you a stronger candidate for the position. They include:
- Bachelor’s degree (or in the process of getting your degree) in either marketing or communication
- Strong communication and analytical abilities
- Experience in online marketing
- Google Adwords Certification
- Bing Ads Accredited
- Ability to work on your own
- Understanding of Google Docs / Microsoft Excel
- Basic knowledge of HTML / CSS
- Careful attention to detail
