Big years call for big changes, and we’re excited to be wrapping up 2025 with a flurry of announcements.
To lead things off, we’ve added a new level for our team above Directors and Senior Directors: VPs. These individuals will oversee large portions of our company, providing executive leadership and direction as our agency works toward our mission and vision. Let’s meet them!
Online Optimism’s VPs
VP of Revenue: Jordan Figueredo
As the VP of Revenue, Jordan will oversee all (current and potential) client relationships at our agency. Her keen sense of communication, infectious personality, and the fact that every client she’s ever worked with is heartbroken whenever we transfer her off their account made it clear that there’s no one better to set a foundation for how other companies work with ours.
VP of People: Meara McNitt
Online Optimism’s culture has, since our very first hire, been more a reflection of our staff than ourselves. And no one’s made a bigger impact on the people that made that culture than Meara. Moving from Senior Director of Social Media to our very first VP of People, she’ll work to make sure that our team is as Optimistic as ever – and that our company supports them every step of the way.
VP of Operations: Sara Bandurian
As the VP of Operations, Sara will continue to make sure everything runs smoothly, from internal processes to external processes. Whether it was being the first Optimist not named Flynn in charge of an office move (I did miss building the desks) to implementing new Project Management software, to handling 100+ step Zaps, she’ll make sure every Optimist’s day is as efficient and effective as possible.
Even More Optimistic Upgrades
With these shifts, there are a few other promotions and title changes that we’re sharing today:
Senior Director of Content: Lauren Walter
Lauren’s leadership of our Search & Content department has led us through many changes in the industry, none bigger than AI and Reddit. She’s excitedly turned these challenges into opportunities, greatly expanding the department and onboarding new clients across industries (and countries). We’re also taking the “Search &” part out of our “Search & Content” Department, to better align with the fact that the role of content in today’s digital marketing landscape means understanding and planning for how it’ll show up in search, chats, feeds, LLMs, and more. (Sadly, my idea to rename the department ‘All Answers, Authority, & Abundantly Artificial” was voted down.)
Creative Director: Claire Escobedo
We’re shifting our video team from our Social Media department to our Design & Development department, and aligning Claire’s title from “Design & Development” to “Creative” to match! Modern marketing requires your website, video assets, and campaign to all align, so it was clear to our team that anyone creating multimedia or code should be in the same department. (And don’t worry – there’s still going to be a ton of video happening in our social and content campaigns.)
Director of Social Media: Madison Buck
Senior Strategist Madison is becoming Director Madison! After several years moving up the ranks at Online Optimism – from Specialist, to Associate, to Strategist, to Senior Strategist – we’re excited to have Madison lead our social media department. Her deft touch with posts, eye for aesthetics, and ability to glean insights from the black box of the algorithm makes her perfect to help our clients get impressions, engagement, and conversions from social content.
Business Development Strategist: Eliza Quaglino
Another Optimist quickly moving up the ranks (from Specialist to Coordinator to now Strategist), Eliza is taking on the Business Development Strategist role. Working under Jordan, she’s our first point of contact for potential new clients, doing the all-important job of making sure we’re a good fit for their goals, and they’re a good fit for our partnerships.
We’re excited for these changes to help us round out 2025, and make 2026 our most Optimistic year yet 🥳
